Tom Paonessa

I have been working in the HVAC/R industry for over 25 years and I have been IGSHPA (International Ground Source Heat Pump Association) certified by Oklahoma State University to design and install complete geo-thermal heat pump systems since 1993. Proficient in all aspects of commercial/residential HVAC systems and controls and have personally installed well over 250 Climatemaster Ground Source Heat Pump Systems.

I am also certified by Wirsbo Inc. to engineer and install in-floor radiant heat systems and certified on Climatemasters new Trilogy 45EER geothermal heatpump.

Prior to relocating to North Carolina eight years ago, I was the owner of my own heating and air-conditioning company in New York for over 15 years. That is when I discovered my passion for the geo-thermal line of business.

In addition to several hundred residential projects, here are two examples of high profile projects Engineered/Designed/Installed:

  • 15 Tons of Climatemaster Energy Efficient equipment at the Presidents Home @ The Culinary Institute of America Located in Hyde Park, NY
  • 19.5 tons of Energy Efficient Climatemaster Geothermal GSHPS at the new Chancellor’s Residence at NC State University which was commissioned in August of 2011.

Outside of my professional interests, I like to golf and cook Italian Food and enjoy living in Wake Forest with my wife and family.
